Abstract
Philosophy of mathematics moved beyond the armchair in the last twenty years: more so than in the philosophical study of other sciences, philosophy of mathematics was dominated by a highly idealised picture of mathematical activities that was often in direct conflict with actual research practice. This talk discusses the development of the community (or communities) that study the philosophy of mathematics under consideration of actual mathematical research practice.
